Algeria - Estimated hydrocarbon potential for certain oil and gas exploration and development opportunities in the Ahnet and Constantine Basins. Performed probabilistic prospect analysis of potential reservoir volumes, risk assessment of the probability of recoverable hydrocarbons, and screening economics.
Algeria - Performed geological, geophysical, and engineering evaluation of a 13-field complex as part of a regional study in the Ghadames and Illizi Basins of eastern Algeria on behalf of Anadarko Algeria Corporation. The study included the HBNS, Qoubba, El Biar, and EKT Fields.
Angola - Conducted independent audit of operator's field development plan offshore Angola on behalf of Sonangol. Performed independent probabilistic assessment of in-place hydrocarbons, petrophysical evaluation, and audit of operator's reservoir simulation model. Made recommendations on alternative development plans to optimize reservoir sweep efficiency.
Angola - Served as a technical advisor to the Operator's new field development team
offering geological and geophysical support for a new deepwater field discovery
in Block 14 on behalf of Chevron. Included seismic analysis of internal turbidite channel architecture, seismic attribute analysis, determination of net pay, and participation in technical meetings.
Botswana - Estimated the unrisked gross prospective gas resources for Kumba Resources in a Kalahari coalbed methane project.
Cameroon - Performed geological, geophysical, reservoir, and operations/drilling engineering evaluation of 29 offshore fields and exploration prospects operated by Pecten Cameroon Company and Elf Serepca. Involved detailed analyses of geologically complex structures developed with over 400 wells on 43 platforms producing 130,000 barrels of oil per day.
Chad - Conducted reservoir engineering, geological, and geophysical studies of Kome, Bolobo, and Miandoum Fields located in the Doba Basin. Involved interpretation of a 575-square-kilometer 3-D seismic survey, petrophysical analysis, reservoir simulation, and estimation of reserves and production flowstreams for the development of these heavy oil fields. Work was conducted on behalf of the International Finance Corporation, The World Bank, U.S. Exim Bank, and the Exxon-operated consortium for funding of the field development and the 650-mile export pipeline.
Côte d'Ivoire - Completed a geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering evaluation of the offshore Espoir Field. Incorporated 3-D seismic interpretation, petrophysical and fluid property analysis, reservoir simulation with history match and predictions, and probabilistic reserves analysis. Also completed an equity determination for the offshore Block CI-11 Contract Area.
Cotê d'Ivoire - Conducted geological, geophysical, and engineering studies of the offshore Lion, Panthere, Kudu, and Eland Fields. The project incorporated 3-D seismic, petrophysical, and fluid property analysis; material balance history and prediction; and probabilistic analysis.
Côte d'Ivoire - Conducted exploration evaluation and resource assessment of the offshore 1.2 million-acre CI-112 Block and the 1.1 million-acre CI-109 Block.
Egypt - Performed an evaluation of reserves and future revenue for Abu-Sennan Field located in the Abu Gharadig Basin and Burg El-Arab Field located in the eastern extension of the Qattara Alamin Ridge. The terms of the Abu-Sennan and Burg El-Arab Field production sharing contracts along with Egyptian fiscal terms were thoroughly reviewed and a detailed economic model was built for each field.
Egypt - Conducted geological, geophysical, and engineering studies of oil and gas fields in the western desert of Egypt on behalf of Phoenix Resource Companies, Inc. (now part of Apache Corporation) and the International Finance Corporation. Evaluated the exploration prospects and potential of three concessions covering approximately 3.7 million acres.
Egypt - Built simulation models for two independent reservoirs in the offshore East Zeit Field. Geocellular (Petrel) model was provided as geological input into dynamic reservoir model; the models are used for development planning and provide inputs to reserves bookings.
Egypt - Conducted a study of the proved, probable, and possible reserves and future net revenue for the International Finance Corporation interest in the Meleiha and West Razzak Concessions located in the Shushan Basin in the Western Desert.
Equatorial Guinea - Completed annual geoscience, petrophysical, and reservoir engineering evaluations of the offshore Ceiba Field on behalf of Triton Energy Corporation. Involves 3-D seismic interpretation integrated with well control, petrophysical analysis, and fluid property analysis. Reservoir simulation is used to model this fast-track, subsea well development which flows to an FPSO.
Equatorial Guinea - Completed a geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering evaluation of the offshore Zafiro Field complex. Involved VoxelGeo 3-D volume interpretation of a pseudo-resistivity depth cube generated on a neural network of well-based petrophysics and seismic complex trace attributes extracted from the 3-D data. Stereoscopic 3 D visualization enabled connectivity interpretation between debris-flow sand masses. Fluid property, petrophysical, and material balance analysis were incorporated into reservoir simulation model to use as basis for estimates of proved, probable, and possible reserves.
Equatorial Guinea - Performed a full evaluation of the Alba gas condensate field integrating 3-D seismic, petrophysical, and engineering analyses into a full field compositional simulation model to predict liquid recovery and gas availability for an NGL plant, a methanol plant, and a potential LNG project. Provided a reserves certification, resource dedication report, deliverability report, and operability report. This study also included an evaluation of dry gas resource potential of nearby Marathon-owned blocks and dry gas resource potential in a 100 kilometer-radius area of Bioko Island.
Equatorial Guinea - Conducted exploration evaluation and probabilistic resource analysis of the 1.1 million-acre offshore Corisco Deep Block.
Gabon - Built a simulation model of the offshore Etame Field. Results are used in estimating reserves, and the model is used for performing development scenario sensitivity analyses.
Gabon/Angola/Congo - Performed risk assessments of offshore exploration prospects for determination of fair market value.
Libya - Estimated reserves, operating costs, and capital expenses to the Veba Oil and Gas interest in the Amal, Ghani/Zenad, Jofra, and Tibisti Fields located on Blocks 11, 12, and 13 in the Sirte Basin for potential acquisition.
Madagascar - Prepared a resource assessment of the heavy oil potential in the onshore Amboloando Formation in the Tsimiroro Production Sharing Contract 3104. This work included a geologic evaluation of the mapped oil-in-place utilizing the 2-D seismic, log, core, and test information; estimated SAGD response based on analogous projects; and estimates of the unrisked resources. Scoping economics were prepared for a potential full-scale development involving several hundred SAGD well pairs and the installation of significant facilities, infrastructure, and support systems for this potential development.
Madagascar - Performed separate exploration resources assessments for onshore Madagascar Petroleum Blocks 2104 and 3113 for submission to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Mauritania - Conducted a reserve certification of the offshore Chinguetti Field on behalf of Lenders led by ANZ Bank. The certification was used for financing the subsea-FPSO oil development. Work included interpreting 3-D seismic data, incorporating well control and well test information, and modeling various development plans with reservoir simulation. Analysis also included operations verification of the capital expenses, operating expenses, and development timing for the project.
Morocco - Conducted exploration evaluation and resource assessment of the offshore 5 million-acre Safi Haute Mer Block and 3.4 million-acre Ras Tefelney Block.
Namibia - Conducted exploration evaluation and resource assessment of a 2.2 million-acre offshore concession.
Nigeria - Completed a probabilistic reserves study of the Otien Field area, OPL 205. Incorporated seismic interpretation, petrophysical and fluid property analysis, and Monte Carlo simulation. Provided primary and associated product in-place and recoverable reserves for the P90, P50, and P10 categories.
Nigeria - Performed integrated technical study of the offshore Ejulebe Field discovery. Included complete Landmark interpretation of 3-D seismic survey, development of geological maps, and estimation of reserves and production flowstreams.
Nigeria - Conducted reservoir engineering, geological, and geophysical studies of 11 fields operated by Shell Production Development Company of Nigeria Limited, Elf Nigeria Limited, and Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited, which will provide the gas supply for the Bonny LNG plant. Involved modeling of retrograde gas condensate reservoirs to estimate gas and liquid recoveries. Work was conducted on behalf of the International Finance Corporation.
Nigeria - Performed predevelopment and postdevelopment studies of the offshore Oso Field on behalf of the International Finance Corporation and The World Bank. Included a complete update of the reservoir description, which incorporated the results of a detailed petrophysical evaluation of core and log data from 24 development wells and geophysical evaluation of approximately 200 2-D seismic lines as well as a 3-D seismic survey. Developed a gas plant model to predict natural gas liquid recovery for the Oso NGL project.
Nigeria - Conducted reservoir simulation studies to confirm gas injection as the optimum depletion strategy for Oso Field. Studies included determination of the number of producing and injection wells and the capacities for handling the produced fluids.
Nigeria - Conducted assessments of certain properties in the Gulf of Guinea, including (1) resources in Oil Prospecting Licenses 321 and 323; (2) prospective resources within Block 2 of the Joint Development Zone of Nigeria and São Tomé and Príncipe; and (3) reserves and future revenue and contingent and prospective resources for Bilabri, Owanare, and Orobiri Fields within Oil Mining Lease 122.
Nigeria - Conducted a technical analysis of Okoru and Setu Fields located within Oil Mining Lease 112 in the Gulf of Guinea. Our conclusions and estimates of undeveloped reserves were present in a report used for project funding.
Senegal - Conducted exploration evaluation and resource assessment of the 7.9 million-acre offshore Dakar Profound Block.
South Africa - Performed screening study of the E-CB, E-CE, and E-BD Blocks of the offshore Block 9 area to evaluate potential block participation by the client.
South Africa - Performed field study of the offshore E-BT Field incorporating 3-D seismic interpretation, attribute analysis, petrophysical and fluid property analyses, and reservoir simulation to model field development.

Oman - Performed an evaluation of reserves and future revenue for 16 oil fields contained in the Karim Small Fields service agreement license area located in the Nimr Block. The terms of the service agreement and Omani fiscal terms were thoroughly reviewed and a detailed economic model was built to forecast estimates of future revenue.
Qatar - Performed a reserve certification study for the NGL-4 and Q-Chem projects. Included the North, Dukhan, Bul Hanine, Maydan Mazham, and Idd Al-Shargi North Dome Fields.
Qatar - Performed multiple gas and condensate reserve certification studies of the offshore North Field in support of financing several LNG Projects and Gas Supply Projects. These Projects include: RasGas 1&2, RasGas Train 3, RasGas Train 4, Qatargas II, RasGas Expansion, Qatargas 3, and Qatargas 4.
Qatar - Conducted a study of a gas recycling project in the reservoir in the Dukhan Field in Qatar, requiring modeling of the changing composition of the reservoir gas as liquids are stripped out and dry gas is reinjected. This is the largest gas recycling project in the world.
Syria - Estimated reserves, operating expenses, and capital costs to the Veba Oil and Gas interest in the Ash Sham, Deir Ez Zor, Deir Ez Zor Annex 4, and Gas Utilization Project Concessions.
United Arab Emirates - Audited the proved, probable, and possible reserves for the Ilam-Mishrif Reservoir in the Mubarek Field on behalf of Crescent Petroleum Company.
Yemen - Evaluated carbonate and fractured basement reservoirs in Nabrajah Field located in the onshore Block 43. Included petrophysical evaluation of core and log data, seismic evaluation, pressure transient analysis, material balance modeling, decline curve analysis, and a probabilistic assessment of hydrocarbons-in-place and reserves.
Yemen - Completed a reserve evaluation of fractured basement reservoirs in the Ras Ghashwah Field located in the offshore Block 15. Included transient pressure analysis, petrophysical review of routine and special core data and well logs, and prediction of areas of greatest fracture intensity from structural modeling.
Yemen - Prepared estimates of hydrocarbons-in-place, ultimate recoverable reserves, and future revenue for An Nagyah Field in the Damis Block S1 for the operator of the Block. Included geological, geophysical, petrophysical, and reservoir engineering evaluation of the seismic data, well logs, core data, and fluid analysis data along with a review of the operator's simulation model.
