Shale gas developments have experienced explosive growth in recent years. The Newark East Field producing from the Barnett Shale is now the largest natural gas field in Texas. North Texas producing shale gas wells have increased from a few hundred in the late 1990s to over 10,000 today, and there is potential for over 30,000 future wells within a 15-county area. • Performance assessments of historical production including primary completion and refrac evaluations, drainage studies, and estimation of recovery for offset producers
